The vet clinic that I work at has a bundle of cats up for adoption... they come to us mostly by being dumped at the front door after closing or if they are too sick and the owners cant afford keeping the pet alive.
All the cute little kittens get adopted quick, and then the rest stick around for a while, hopefully to be adopted by someone lucky to have them in their life. They have become our special ed cats because... well they have special needs.

This is Alfie! He is a cuddly fat grey cat. He has lots of love to give, hes just a little too shy sometimes. He's got one restriction- diet. Isnt he so cute?
Boosh!!!!! He reminds me of Puss in Boots from Shrek with his cute eyes and face. Hes about 4 months old and is handled with no problems. Hes just waiting for the perfect home!
Clove is another special kitty. Shes very pretty to the eyes and has some very cuddly moments, but she is an independent cat, so she needs to come to you when she wants to, otherwise she just likes to sit and look pretty!
My favorite cat of the bunch is Max! He is a very old cat who came in untreated for diabetes. Now he is on the right track to recovery. He is a loud mouth and hates being in a cage, but the minute he is in your arms he is as cuddly as can be and just cant stop purring.
